Bord: (Danish//Table) a piece of furniture that provides an area on which objects are placed on, acting as a center for community where people gather around.
In its closed form, it is compact; as it opens, it becomes a place to gather.

The bord bag uses these buttons as the closure system, which allows to hold the panels to hold the bag.
Without using any glue or adhesives, the buttons hold the recycled PP panels to the fabric, allowing for sustainable assembly and recycling.

After being isolated and secluded in our homes, we are now seeking the outdoors and the sense of connection that we had missed.
Over the past years picnics have gained and lost popularity especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As it fell because of COVID restrictions was the same reason that it had gained popularity during the end of the pandemic.
This user group seeks affordable elegance in art and design, valuing quality, aesthetics, and detail.
They gravitate towards brands that curate stylish products while still being approachable.
Introducing a cohesive set that brings HAY’s lifestyle to your picnics in a world where we crave community, the outdoors, and comfort.
DESIGN LANGUAGE
Explored initial ideas and concepts, finding new ways to create community through a bag.
With each concept, exploring further how to enhance the function of the bag.
Foucing on simplifying the concept and manufacturing.
BLANKET:
A blanket that follows the design language of the bag. Inspired by origami, making it easily transportable.
Seeing how the bag can maximize space while folding in a simple way.
Prioritizing simplicity and easy user functionality.
